Billing Administrator

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inputting customer orders into Accounting software
  • Invoicing customers through Accounting software
  • Inputting payment documents into EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system
  • Issuing customer account statements
  • Processing customer credit cards
  • Reconciling any billing variances, resolving any discrepancies
  • Post incoming payments accurately into billing record system

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of an ERP system
  • Ability to process a variety of transactions and to reconcile accounts
  • Excellent communication skills

Marketing and Graphic Design

THE ROLE:

In this position an individual will create various print, digital, and social media marketing materials. This position requires knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other softwares such as Microsoft Word programs and Premier. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create graphic illustrations as directed utilizing Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Create social media content.
  • Create short marketing videos.
  • Maintain a well-organized system for retrieval of information and data.
  • Good understanding of layout and composition.
  • Prepare print ready art files for flyers, posters signs, presentation, etc.
  • Execute on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Update CMS website and social media as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Design or Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in graphic design required.
  • Experience with studio photography an asset.
  • Must be experienced and highly technical in using Adobe Creative Suites using Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier) and other software.

Director of Operations

ORB™ is entering an exciting growth period after securing major contracts with some of the worlds’ top retailers. The business is scaling significantly and requires the leadership of a supply chain expert who can build out and implement process improvements in their global distribution.

KEY MISSIONS:

  • Responsible for developing and executing on a supply chain strategy.
  • Development and management of key performance indicators covering the flow of components and finished goods.
  • Lead cross-functional effort to align supply and production plans with sales forecast and Orb operational objectives.
  • Proactively identify risk and develop contingency plans to address potential supply disruptions or poor performance.
  • Responsible for selection and management of third party operational suppliers, i.e. freight providers, warehouses, 3PL providers.
  • Member of ORB™ Directors’ group.
  • Manage performance and ensure development of people within the Operations group.
  • Lead/Execute on improvement projects as required.

RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Optimize supply chain performance. Drive improvements that lower cost to market and time to market.
  • Challenge Operations performance relative to KPI targets
  • Regular business/performance meetings with third party supply chain providers.
  • Maintaining timelines on flow of components and finished goods relative to plan.
  • Ensuring relevant operational issues addressed at leadership level.
  • Operating collaboratively across functions based on customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE:

  • Seven to ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Graduate level degree in required field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Toy industry or FMCG preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Purchase order management and summary
    • Manage back orders, change requests, special labels or packing requirements
    • Summarize and report on orders in hand
    • Coordinate efforts with Purchasing, HK/China Sourcing, US Warehouse and other teams to ensure on time shipping and compliance with customer requirements
  • Prepare and maintain customer set-up documentation, agreements, and other customer documentation as requested
  • Create and maintain customer files
  • Sample, graphics and presentation coordination with Marketing and Graphics teams
    • For meetings, trade shows, and customers
  • Prepare and maintain reports on customer point of sale data
  • Prepare and maintain sales and margin documentation and reports
  • Maintain item specification database

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience working in a fast paced sales organization
  • Experience coordinating interdepartmental tasks to accomplish common goals
  • Strong Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Travel may be required, must hold a valid passport

Illustrator and Graphic Designer

THE ROLE:

This position is responsible for the design and execution of a variety of children’s toy and activity products with a focus on Digital Illustration and Drawing Skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Brainstorming / Ideation
  • Create 2D Illustrations utilizing Adobe CS
  • Understand how designs function to maximize play value, production efficiency, and marketability
  • Create unique and engaging designs with a sense of child-like cuteness, humor and fun.
  • Research and evaluate the competitive landscape, take proactive steps to maintain a deep awareness of industry trends.
  • Manage projects in cooperation with our Hong Kong based sourcing and production team.
  • Execute on multiple projects to meet production schedules
  • Work closely with all functional areas of the company to accomplish tasks within budgetary & technical constraints.
  • Decorative Typography / Logotype Design

DESIGN SKILLS:

  • Ability to communicate ideas quickly, efficiently, and effectively
  • Problem solving
  • Drawing & rendering – both manually and digitally
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Prototyping skills and Sculpting ability a plus.
  • Ability to think logically and creatively
  • Ability to maintain a consistent illustration & design style within specific product lines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BFA or equivalent
  • Ideally 3+ years experience in a product design and development environment
  • A high level of creativity and innovation with a passion for making things
  • Must be able to communicate concepts and ideas in writing and verbally as well as through prototypes and renderings
  • Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with people at all levels within a team environment
